Marie-Noëlle Potot, est une personnalité incontournable du paysage français des chœurs à voix d’enfants. Issue d’une famille de musiciens, elle étudie très tôt la formation musicale, le violon et l’orchestre.
Elle reçoit notamment l’enseignement de la violoniste Marie-Annick Nicolas qui révèlera chez elle ses dons artistiques. C’est suite à cette rencontre qu’elle décide de se consacrer pleinement à une carrière professionnelle. Elle poursuit ses études à l’université de musicologie de Lyon où elle obtient une Maîtrise. C’est à cette époque qu’elle se tourne vers le chant et la direction de chœur et particulièrement les chœurs d’enfants. Elle se forme au conservatoire régional de Chalon-sur-Saône dans la classe de direction de chœur de Pascal Baudrillart et de Hubert Humeau pour le chant.
Curieuse des méthodes nouvelles et sensorielles, elle étudie la pédagogie Kodaly auprès de Laure Pouradier-Duteil, professeur de formation musicale et de technique vocale de la Maîtrise de l’Opéra de Lyon. Durant son parcours, elle a l’opportunité de recevoir les conseils et de travailler auprès de chefs réputés tels que Yves Klein, Emmanuel Robin, Nicole Corti et enfin Hugo Gutierrez, ce qui lui permet d’aborder avec compétence différentes stylistiques et répertoires. En 2015 elle est nommée chef de chœur à la célèbre Manécanterie des Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de Bois qui est composée alors de deux chœurs, le chœur principal à voix mixtes et le chœur à voix égales.
Elle prendra la direction du chœur à voix égales avec lequel elle donnera de nombreux concerts remarqués. Elle s’imposera rapidement en France avec cet ensemble comme chœur de garçons de référence. Forte de ses succès, il lui sera confié en 2016 une tournée internationale d’un mois dans les grandes capitales de Chine. Ce sera la première tournée internationale du chœur à voix égales, qui confirmera sa réputation. Familière des plateaux de télévision elle dirigera à plusieurs reprises pour l’émission « 300 chœurs ». En 2017 c’est à elle qu’est revenu l’honneur de diriger le concert anniversaire des 110 ans de la Manécanterie des Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de bois devant un parterre de personnalités. En 2018 elle prend régulièrement la direction du chœur principal appelé aujourd’hui « Le Chœur Berthier ». Au-delà de ses qualités artistiques elle est une pédagogue appréciée. Elle est responsable de la formation du chœur préparatoire et du chœur de garçons de l’Ecole Maîtrisienne – Maîtrise de la Cathédrale d’Autun. Artiste lyrique, elle se produit régulièrement en tant que soprano solo au sein du duo Amaryllis qu’elle forme avec son pianiste de toujours, Mathieu Potot.
